Another term of classes is complete at New Way! We celebrated the accomplishments of 16 individuals who participated in one of 5 classes offered: Affirming Potential, Financial Future, Boundaries, Successful Living, and Discovery Bible Study.

Amanda has completed 5 classes with us and shared her story at our celebration. Read how the classes and community at New Way have impacted her life

“It was when I took Affirming Potential that I think I started coming out of my shell. I learned about how my life had purpose. I was valuable and my life was meaningful. I could overcome my struggles by facing and accepting my past, understand my present and realize that God gave us potential that exists in all of us. I was told to dream again and make goals, evaluate them and develop action steps to achieve them.

As I sat around the table having my meal so many people were not only encouraging me but showing me I wasn’t alone. They had me hooked.

My daughters, Felicity and Cora, have made friends and love to go to the “church where we eat” as the girls call it. I feel like there is a family here that is created by just showing up and trying. I can be myself here. Battle scars and all.

I miss the classes when we don’t have them, and my Thursdays have become my New Way class time.

If you feel like right now life is getting you down, remember that God looked at you and said WOW, I am DEEPLY in love with you. You have a purpose and even on your worst day God sits with you.”
